A local citation is any online mention of a law firm's name, address and phone number, usually on directories such as Avvo, Justia, FindLaw, Yelp or a local bar association site. Citations help confirm a firm's location and legitimacy to search engines.

Legal directories are some of the most trusted citation sources and often rank on page one themselves. Being listed accurately on the right ones supports Local Pack rankings and gives potential clients another route to find you.
